Recent Works
Dakota farm years often included periodic machine shop repair activities. This opened the door to sculpture. I literally became fascinated with this sculptural option as an art form. My early school activities never provided 3D art as a visually expressive art option. Welding metal forms together, which I learned as a necessary farm detail, now expanded my art options. The colorfully painted small 3D wood blocks, in addition to their referential 'wild plum' reference, are for me, reminiscent of the welded forms of years past.
